Northeast Wyoming BOCES seeks a licensed Therapist or Social Worker to provide individual and group therapy per student treatment plans at Powder River Basin Children's Center in Gillette, WY. Powder River Basin Children's Center is a Residential Treatment Facility that serves students (approximately ages 8-21) who have significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Powder River Basin Children's Center strives to be a trauma-Informed facility; our main pillars include DBT, Love & Logic, Ukeru,and Crisis Prevention Institute. The therapist also provides family therapy; crisis management services, including crisis intervention; behavior plans, and develops safety plans. Works as a member of a multidisciplinary team (e.g., teachers, residential staff, SLP, OT, relevant stakeholders). Ensures social-emotional needs of students are met by involving students, districts, DFS, and families in care planning and encouraging their participation in treatment. Completes mandatory documentation, evaluation reports, and records within timelines established by applicable regulations. Position includes monthly on-call responsibilities, which are shared with other clinical team members.
Qualified applicants will have a Master's degree Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or equivalent, and possess a license, or be able to quickly obtain a license, to practice in Wyoming (State Board or PTSB). Complete applications include rsum, application, copy of transcripts, professional license, and three letters of recommendation.
Position is contracted for approximately 225 days per year.
Salary is based on education and experience, starting at at least $82,000 per year.
