The Engineering Manager will oversee the development and execution of engineering projects, manage budgets and timelines, and supervise engineering teams. Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager. The Engineering Manager will oversee the development and execution of engineering projects, manage budgets and timelines, and supervise engineering teams. Responsibilities
- Coordinate Utility Integration, EDP development, permit submission, and CRP production across multiple projects
- Manage tasks related to Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and utility company requirements
- Oversee project-based budgets, monitor financials, to prevent overruns
- Create and submit change orders, to customer, as needed, assessing impacts and communicating with stakeholders
- Maintain up-to-date project information and provide updates to customers
- Conduct weekly coordination meetings, set task goals, and mentor team members
- Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, quality standards, and industry regulations
- Collaborate with other departments and manage client expectations and relationships
- Contribute to long-term technical strategy and identify process improvements
- Prepare and distribute comprehensive project status reports
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience with project management and urban design
- 5-8 years of experience working in Construction, EV, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software including Autodesk
- Proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly Office (Excel, Word, Email)
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Solid understanding of engineering best practices and industry standards
- Proven experience in leading and motivating engineering teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional time management, accountability, and prioritization skills
- Self-motivated, goal- oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals
- Ability to adapt to changes quickly and make decisions under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to support a fast paced, demanding work schedule; could include late evenings and/or weekends
