Description:
Be a part of a team supporting the Navy's DDG(X) Program. Strategic Insight, Ltd. is seeking Ship Design Management Analyst, Senior-level with Navy acquisition and design experience to support the Navy's Future Guided Missile Destroyer (DDG(X)) Design project. Job location is SE DC.
The new acquisition program will leverage the DDG 51 Flight III combat system while identifying and evaluating the integration of non-developmental mechanical and electrical systems into a new or modified hull design, incorporating platform flexibility and growth opportunities to meet future Fleet requirements.
Mandatory Requirement: Applicants selected must have a security clearance for this position and are subject to a Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility for a government security clearance at the Secret level.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide consult and assist in the day-to-day management of technical and design process support for ship capabilities, requirements, design development, systems engineering, and systems integration,
- Provide consult and assist in the preparation of technical reports, memos, and issue papers,
- Provide consult and assist in the development of PowerPoint presentations,
- Conduct Navy program related research as directed by client,
- Provide consult and assist in the drafting, editing, and proof-reading documents and correspondence,
- Provide consult and assist in the correspondence management,
- Provide consult and assist in task management, schedule planning & program integration, and design management execution,
- Provide consult and assist in monitoring the status of technical and performance requirements for DDG(X) programs and support all pre and post requirements and actions,
- Provide consult and assist with the development of design schedule and program roadmaps and plans to meet the goals and objectives of DDG(X) Programs,
- Provide consult and assist in identifying and monitoring technical and program risk areas and developing risk management efforts to reduce the risks to acceptable levels,
- Provide consult, assess, and provide information on new and existing policies and procedures, and assist in the development, review, and updating of standard operating procedure documentation, and
- Provide consult and assist in the use of digital strategies and technology to create or modify existing business processes, systems, and operation.
Success for working in this position requires:
- Experience and understanding of ship design, systems engineering, or acquisition required,
- Understanding of data management / digital transformation desired,
- Familiarity with SharePoint and Integrated Data Environments (IDEs) is preferred,
- Excellent oral and written communication skills,
- Extensive attention to detail and accuracy in completing assignments, including proof reading, grammar, and analytical skills,
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with others at all levels, especially as a project or team leader,
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), to include the ability to create spreadsheets, presentations, and prepare specialized report,
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance,
- Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information,
- Self-starter, goal-oriented individual who provides timely feedback on progress made on assignments, and
- Excellent organizational skills: ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks, handle complex assignments, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- 10 years of related experience, and
- Experience with DoD and/or Department of the Navy required.
