Bilingual Human Resources Manager-USVI (STT/STJ)

Essential Functions
  • Manage and oversee the HR function for STT/STJ, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Lead the recruitment process, from job posting to selection, and assist with interviews as needed.
  • Handle employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
  • Support and advise management on HR-related issues, ensuring adherence to labor laws.
  • Assist with employee benefits including open enrollment and answering general questions.
  • Implement HR initiatives to foster a positive work culture and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with the HR team and other departments to support company-wide initiatives and projects.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred or equivalent year of experience.
  • HR certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a managerial HR position.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS system.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Additional Information
  • This is an in-office position located in St. Thomas.
  • The role will require occasional travel
