We are currently hiring for an Americas Sales Manager. This position will lead and manage the sales operations of Porvair Filtration Group Inc in the Americas. This role involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies, managing a team of sales representatives, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Duties / Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve Company objectives and sales targets in assigned states.
- Work closely with various departments including Marketing, Production, Finance, and Customer Service teams to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth and to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall Company objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts and budgets to senior management; monitor sales performance against specific benchmarks.
- Team Leadership
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of sales representatives ensuring they are equipped to meet sales goals.
- Set performance goals and provide regular feedback and coaching to team members.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and training sessions to ensure the team is informed and motivated.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and performance of the sales team.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve products, services, and sales processes.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with Company policies and industry regulations.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Training Required
- Degree qualified in a relevant, technical discipline or related professional experience.
- Minimum 7 -10 years of sales experience, preferably in a multi-site manufacturing environment where some direct reports work remotely, with at least 3 years in a group managerial role.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse sales team.
- Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and methodologies specific to the manufacturing sector.
- Proficient in analyzing sales data and metrics to drive decision making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Superb skills in people management, communication, team building, and conflict resolution.
- High level of emotional intelligence, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited direction.
- Ability to apply information and judgment in a specific area to achieve results and solve problems.
- Up to 30 - 50% travel required.
