Description:
The Senior Systems Architect position at Ducks Unlimited provides hands-on technical expertise and direction in support of the Ducks Unlimited (DU) application suite. The position will offer technical guidance and support on new initiatives, maintenance of existing systems, and system interfaces. Additionally, the position is responsible for working closely with the DU business users to translate their requirements into system specifications. Advocating and supporting development processes such as Continuous Integration - Continuous Delivery, and system testing are also key responsibilities. The candidate must showcase a high level of technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills across various practices and must have the right educational qualifications to be able to fulfill the various requirements and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs and develops the applications or application enhancements to support DU fundraising efforts and the conservation mission.
- Works closely with DU business partners to review, scope, and prioritize new requests
- Keeps abreast of new technology capabilities, particularly within Azure
- Works closely with the infrastructure team to ensure the applications are performant and are running the right sized platform.
- Lead the visioning and implementation of the next generation of DU applications
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides technology insights to peers and the Chief Information Officer on how DU can be more agile and secure
- Engages vendor partners to understand trends
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND PROFESSIONAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in application development
- Technical Architecture experience desired, experience working in Azure is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Full Stack Developer
- Ability to design application architecture
- SQL
- REST APIs
- Server/application service configuration and monitoring
- HTML/CSS
