What You'll Do
The Regional Claim Consultant (RCC) serves as a point of contact, performing claim reviews, and acts as a liaison for policyholders regarding claims. The RCC is responsible for analyzing complex or technically difficult workers' compensation claims to determine benefits due. This position works with high exposure claims involving litigation and rehabilitation, ensuring ongoing adjudication of claims within industry standards and company service expectations, and to identify subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements. This position works in conjunction with the Claim Department, policyholders, claimants, and defense counsel to ensure an efficient claim handling process. This is a field position with routine daily travel.
We're looking for someone that has:
Field experience in Special Investigation Units (SIU), third party units, or other insurance claim units is highly desirable.

The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors; including, but not limited to - qualifications, relevant education, certifications, experience, skills, performance, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future, but we in good faith believe this is what we would pay for this role as of the time of posting. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market for all employees in this position across our industry and provides an opportunity to progress and develop within the role.

What You'll Do

We're looking for someone that has:
- a Bachelor's degree, preferably,
- a minimum of 5 years experience in claim handling and/or insurance investigations,
- excellent verbal and written communication skills,
- the ability to work independently to organize and prioritize work and the ability to succeed in a high volume, fast paced environment,
- proficiency with Microsoft software such as Word and Excel, and
- a driver's license and a clean driving record.
Field experience in Special Investigation Units (SIU), third party units, or other insurance claim units is highly desirable.
