Position Details

The Director of Home Care is responsible for the planning, organizing, and managing of Home Care and other support services. The role routinely reviews and evaluates Home Care delivery and operational processes, ensuring staff provide superior service to clients and financial goals are met. This role also assists in creating revenue by aiding in the building and development of strong community referral relationships and is proactive in supporting company growth.

The Director of Home Care ensures that Family First staff provide all clients with the highest quality of care; all policies and procedures are followed; and all assigned key performance metrics are accurate tracked, measured, and followed.

Job Duties
  • Oversees daily Home Care and Intake operations and workflow.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on home and support services operations projects and systems.
  • Develops and implements process improvement and enhancements.
  • Drives revenue process utilizing established key metrics while supporting and maintaining accountability.
  • Develops, implements, and drives new programs to meet client needs and company financial goals.
  • Ensure service levels and productivity standards are maintained.
  • Establishes and administers the department's budget.
  • Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the chief executive officer and other leadership.
  • Oversees and ensures all home care compliance is maintained and adheres to company, state and federal standards.
  • Plans and participates in strategic planning via leadership meetings.
  • Conducts and facilitates regular team meetings; communicates and implement best practices.
  • Works with Business Development team to develop and implement marketing strategies promoting all company retail and service care options.
  • Develops, implements, and manages new programs to meet client needs and company financial goals.
  • Ensures proper maintenance and growth of staff/client relationships.
  • Management of care related billing activities ensuring accuracy and timeliness of billing and reporting processes.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of home and support service operational procedures, seeking opportunities for process improvement, including development and implementation of training materials and initiatives in coordination with the company President.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management-level staff in the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Establishes and maintains a managerial climate that promotes teamwork and cross-functional collaboration across all departments.
  • Promote team building and ensures professional conduct at all times.
  • Promotes departmental staff career growth and skills development.
  • Ensures any client issues/concerns and resolve in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all home care and intake operational SOPs are current.
  • Ensures required policies and procedures are adhered to and required reports are complete and accurate.
  • Works closely with Human Resources Department to ensure all client-facing employee required licensure requirements remain current.
  • Adheres to and demonstrates Family First corporate missions, vision, and values.


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent education and experience.
  • Significant experience in healthcare administration, healthcare management, or related discipline.
  • Previous experience in Home Care and/or geriatric care.
  • Strong knowledge of in home and/or resident care.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial business environment.
  • Experience in project planning.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well organized and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record and auto insurance.
  • Must pass a criminal history background check.
  • Proficient with computer applications: including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.


Compensation: Family First is committed to providing market competitive, equitable pay to all employees

Compensation (Range): $100,000-124,000/year

Bonus potential up to 10% of annual salary

  • FT- 8-hour shift
  • Some weekends and evenings if call coverage in needed
