The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for managing and growing an assigned customer base. They will create and implement sales strategy using strategic tools, achieving growth projections and fostering the principle/resale relationship.

What you'll do:
- Develop new customer accounts and achieve annual sales based on agreed upon annual sales goals;
- Service existing customer accounts and develop new customer accounts;
- Work closely with sales managers to create strategic and tactical plans to take advantage of all potential sales opportunities in the territory;
- Develop and enhance business and technical relations with engineering, procurement, quality and service personnel, at all levels within the customer organization;
- Support Customer Service team with outstanding issues regarding order processing, delivery or billing;
- Coordinate new and existing customer projects working closely with customers and Curtis applications & customer support engineers;
- Investigate field failures associated with new product introductions and existing product failures. Achieve customer satisfaction through resolution;
- Document and distribute customer visits reports;
- Create monthly reports, conduct basic business analysis;
- Foster relationship with OE Principle and champion the product line, support sales efforts for the product category;
- Travel domestically, and occasionally internationally. 50%+ travel expected.
What you need:
- BSEE, BSME, or BS Electrical Technology preferred
- 3+ years of technical sales experience
- 3+ years OEM sales.
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated success in technical selling techniques
- Develop a book of business in numerous industries
- Technical sales or customer solutions experience
- Construction, agriculture, and/or material handling a plus.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements in these markets
- Excellent technical skills (Basic electrical and working knowledge of graphical
- editors and software customization tools)
- Strong business savvy to turn opportunities to profitable business activities
- Be self-directed and able to work with minimum of supervision
- Strong ability to bring closure to activities
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent persuasive verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent follow-up skills
- Excellent and efficient problem solving abilities
- Ability to interface with all levels of an organization from the technician on the
- Manufacturing floor to senior management.
- Preferred work experience with instrumentation background
