Unit Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Take the reins and manage the daily operations of the nursing unit.
- Lead and inspire the nursing staff, handling everything from scheduling to training and performance evaluations.
- Stay on top of federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans for our residents.
- Keep a watchful eye on resident care to ensure it meets our high standards and protocols.
- Tackle any issues or concerns related to resident care with grace and efficiency.
- Host regular staff meetings to share updates, policies, and procedures-because communication is key!
- Maintain accurate and organized medical records and documentation-attention to detail is a must!
- Play a vital role in recruiting and onboarding new nursing staff.
- Work hand-in-hand with other department heads to ensure the facility runs like a well-oiled machine.
- Connect with residents and their families, addressing concerns and providing updates on care plans.
Unit Manager Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license in the state of New Jersey.
- Experience as a Unit Manager is required-this isn't your first rodeo!
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to long-term care.
