1080 - Mathematical Modeler

Monte Sano Research Corporation (MSRC) is a Huntsville-based Small Business specializing in providing full-spectrum defense system engineering, research, design, development, integration, test, evaluation, and planning services to the U.S. Government.

MSRC is seeking candidates with a strong mathematical modeling background to support survivability analysis of emerging Army missile technologies.

Job Description:

• The candidate will work within a government-owned classified processing space
• The candidate will develop mathematical models to help the team understand the structures and properties of large data sets
• The candidate will understand and utilize mathematical techniques such as Pareto analysis, singular value decomposition (SVD), principal component analysis (PCA), and others to properly understand how input parameters are influencing data outputs
• The candidate will execute post-processing tools and analysis scripts on large data sets, draw rational conclusions from the results, and organize conclusions into deliverable reports
• The candidate will report to the lab analysis lead, and will interface regularly with government customers

Education:

• BS in mathematics, physics, engineering, or other relevant field required

Job Qualifications:

• 15 years of experience in data analysis or mathematical modeling disciplines required
• Self-motivation and self-starter with strong organizational skills required
• Familiarity with MATLAB and Python required
• Familiarity with both Windows and Linux required
• Ability to work well within a team environment to meet analysis product schedules required
• Strong oral and written communication skills required
• Active Top Secret security clearance required

• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Candidate must currently possess and be able to maintain an active security clearance.
