Position: Marketing Data Analyst II

Reports to: Data Analytics Manager

Principal Mission:

The Marketing Data Analyst supports the Credit Union's marketing and sales strategies by utilizing the marketing database to generate marketing campaign data files, report on campaign metrics, support loyalty programs, and produce data reports to support business strategies and decision-making. Support and promote corporate values of member service, teamwork, commitment and performance.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Develop, execute, and manage queries in marketing database to target segments for campaign mail/email and cross-sell initiatives
  • Import data files from multiple systems and databases into marketing database
  • Export files in multiple formats for use in different applications; manipulation of these files to conform to external system and vendor needs
  • Generate various tracking and performance reports for each targeted marketing promotion upon expiration of campaign program
  • Compile and analyze response data, make recommendations, research anomalies
  • Prepare various scheduled and ad hoc reports, analysis, and research by utilizing data sets and subject matter experts across multiple business areas
  • Provide ad hoc reports to aide in budgeting and business planning; monthly/quarterly files to various departments
  • Perform quality assurance of campaign list data
  • Assist IT with marketing database management; for example, system maintenance as requested and testing of new software releases


Qualifications:
  • College degree or equivalent work experience needed
  • Strong general programming and boolean logic skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and sub-queries
  • Intermediate or advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, as well as the ability to learn new software systems
  • Working knowledge of data mining principles such as segmenting, mapping, consumer demographics, and integrating data from multiple data systems
  • Beginner proficiency with SAS (programming language) and SQL
  • Basic understanding of version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps, etc) and related workflows, direct experience a plus
  • Experience working with databases and creating reports, using all relevant data to inform decisions
  • Understand and represent consumer perspectives; translating consumer/market needs into day-to-day project work
  • Ability to execute tactical plans, and comfortable managing multiple projects, working in a fast-paced environment, and able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work within team and with other departments in a constructive manner that supports PFFCU's values of member service, teamwork, commitment, and performance
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving, quantitative, and analytical abilities
  • Strong ability to plan and interact with numerous processes, people, and projects simultaneously, independently, and on schedule
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of Raddon Integrator Advance, Meridian Link, Symitar, Encompass, Delivra, SharePoint, and reporting systems preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of consumer financial services and products and ability to learn the products and services offered by PFFCU; our competitive advantage relative to banks; and how this benefits our members
  • Financial services industry experience preferred
  • Ability to use a personal computer, enter information via a keyboard, and access information from a computer screen
