SUMMARY

Responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of the Building Drainage (BD) - Inside Sales team. The Inside Sales Manager position oversees team of Inside Sales Representatives to drive and manage pro-active technical sales related activities to improve close ratios and increase pipeline. The Inside Sales Manager will monitor sales metrics and manage the inside sales process.

The inside sales manager will be able to lead by example by demonstrating effective communication skills, maintain a positive attitude, enjoy coaching teammates, and understands how data can drive strategy. The inside sales manager should have a strong understanding of participants involved at every stage of project delivery process within the construction industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Ability to navigate/read construction documents and technical drawings.
  • Key operator for the CRM. Facilitate data computation for sales and other departments.
  • Train Inside Sales Staff consistent use of the CRM to include sales reports.
  • Compile market intelligence to present to BD VP.
  • Direct line of communication with BD VP
  • Work with the BD VP to facilitate all processes, tools, communication, training, and methodologies to ensure sales team success.
  • Serve with other departmental management to facilitate relationships among members of these various departments and locations in order to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Directing, staffing, and training of the Inside Sales Staff
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Maintain efficiency of the Inside Sales Representatives by evaluating the requests from and responses to customers and field personnel; conduct coaching as needed.
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency and increase sales. Implement and manage digital selling efforts to enhance the sales process and leads generation.
  • Work with BD VP to set and track sales targets for the Inside Sales Team
  • Act as "Key Operator" for Microsoft Dynamics. Provide guidance to other users with knowledge and experience for consistent operation of system.
  • Integrate Microsoft Dynamics CRM into the daily management of the Inside Sales Team
  • Attend trade shows and/or customer events on occasional basis.
  • Five percent Travel Requirement

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises staff in the Inside Sales Office. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; five years' experience working in a construction related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years of previous Supervisory experience


ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to prepare presentations and conduct in individual or group settings.
  • Ability to operate Windows Office programs proficiently.
  • Experience working with a CRM in a sales driven environment.
