At Pacific Smoke International, our mission is to help people quit smoking by providing safer alternatives to traditional cigarettes. As the leading distributor of electronic vaporizers and award-winning vaping products in Canada, we've made significant progress since our founding in 2013. However, we have much more to accomplish for our customers, and we're looking for a culturally aligned Distribution Manager to join our dynamic team located in Markham.

The Distribution Manager has:

The full responsibility for the end-to-end process from receiving, fulfillment and to shipping to best service our customers. The successful incumbent has several years of experience and is a competent leader who can effectively influence, manage, motivate, and develop high-performing teams to achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Other Responsibilities:

Operational Management:
  • Oversees and manages several departments including but not limited to Receiving, Replenishment, Picking, Packing, Shipping and MHE Operators.
  • Manages the distribution operations, including safety, quality, continuous improvement, resource planning, and budgeting.
  • Participates in the planning and execution of the company Disaster Mitigation and Recovery Plan
  • Find cross-function improvement opportunities by improving service, customer operational issues, and rolling out implementation of a Warehouse Management System: (such as barcode scanners, pick to voice, put to light, packing, and receiving issues).
  • Identify and implement continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Work with management to establish and achieve KPIs and relevant performance metrics with regular reporting.
  • Experience with the development and execution of TPM, LEAN, and Six Sigma principles required


Team Leadership
  • Provides overall direction, support, coaching and leadership to the Distribution teams to achieve prescribed objectives and align department and individual efforts to the vision, mission, strategy and culture of PSI
  • Supervise and lead a team including hiring, termination, and training.
  • Establish quarterly team and individual targets and goals
  • Manage staff performance through formal performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, and discipline when required through ongoing feedback.

Customer Satisfaction
  • Ensure quality service to consumers by exceeding customer shipping requirements within the established time frame, and by communicating to internal contacts any issues that may impact customers.
  • Establishes and maintains high-quality service standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
  • Ensures product is delivered to our customers on time in full as per Company expectations

Safety and Compliance

  • Leads and promotes a culture where Health & Safety is the top priority.
  • Member of the Health and Safety Committee and ensures that healthy operational reviews and measures are in place to track and deliver results to reduce injuries, improve quality, and reduce costs.
  • Provides leadership and support for Health & Safety initiatives at the facility by maintaining a clean, organized and safe environment throughout the Warehouse.
  • Ensure personal safety and product safety protection activities.


To be successful you should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Distribution, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of Distribution Management required.
  • Solid technical skills including a familiarity with Distribution, logistics and inventory warehouse software and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Proven ability to direct a high-performing team in a fast-paced distribution environment to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a team culture of excellence.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly understand and identify issues and implement solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, conflict resolution and team building abilities.
  • A proven coach and motivator with the ability to gain the trust of a team and guide their work.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and possess the commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Ability to drive positive change in both processes and systems and culture
  • Working knowledge of ERP, WMS systems
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
