About this Job: - You will serve as the Production Manager, coordinating the work of a multi-functional team assigned to support the Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF) Project Team.
- You will manage personnel resources, ship construction, conduct of shipboard inspections, trial support, Post Delivery Availabilities (PDAs) and Final Contractor Trials (FCT).
- You will plan and schedule work assignments for each team member based on the priorities and deadlines established by the schedule of the ship availability and other related activities.
- You will provide technical evaluations on production and quality assurance status and problems to the EPF Program Manager's Representative (PMR) and Deputy Program Manager's Representative (DPMR).
- You will perform daily on-site problem resolution with the executing shipyards, planning yard, SUPSHIP, Ship's Force and other interfacing naval activities.
- You will attend and contribute to internal and external conferences covering such matters as workload, policy, and schedules.
- You will oversee the management of a library of technical documents such as manuals, handbooks, technical documents, and material. Compiles and maintains historical cost and man-hour data files.
- Qualification Requirements:
(Note: The specialized experience MUST be addressed in the body of the submitted resume to be deemed qualified for this position). Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 pay band (or GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience should demonstrate: analyzing and applying ship design and construction related contract functions to provide recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of industrial operations.
Additional Information:
Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moving expenses will NOT be paid.

This is an acquisition position as defined under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA), in accordance with Section 1721 of Title 10 U.S.C. Certification at Level II in the Production, Quality, and Mfg Field; Category Code H, is required, and must be achieved within 24 months of assignment. - You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
