Overview

This system wide Business Manager assists the Director with managing, supervising, and coordinating the business operations of the Cardiac Service Line to ensure consistent quality services across the Mercyhealth system. Responsible for business and strategic initiative management. Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinates and administrates the performance improvement process related to all business processes; coordinates production of new indicators, collects data, updates and posts dashboards and communicates results.
  • Manages and directs strategic initiatives.
  • Assists with budgeting; obtains quotes for capital equipment, plans for staffing needs.
  • Reviews monthly financial reports, looking for ways to improve statistics and investigate discrepancies.
  • Reviews productivity reports and makes recommendations to meet AOI targets for system laboratories.
  • Assists with system wide standardization to maximize efficiencies.
  • Assesses and promotes efficient utilization of systems, personnel and equipment.
  • Serves on departmental and interdepartmental committees including, but not limited to Lab Billing Committee, Laboratory Management and Leadership Groups, Value Analysis Team, Laboratory Budget Group, Labor Committee.
  • Assists with billing issues. Reviews requests for waivers and crediting of charges and processes as appropriate.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in relevant field required.

MHA or MBA preferred.

Experience in managing clinical business operations and/or clinical supply chain preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Passing the Driver's License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).

Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.

Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

SUPERVISES

All partners involved in cardiac inventory management.

Directly and Indirectly supervises staff. Supervisory responsibilities are conducted in accordance with directives of management, the organization's policies, and applicable laws.
