A government agency located in Montgomery, AL is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. The role involves coordinating project activities, status reporting, and maintaining project stability. Responsibilities include establishing project management processes, developing project plans, directing team efforts, and addressing issues. The Project Manager will facilitate communication across the enterprise, manage project resources, and mentor project leaders. This position is ideal for someone with extensive project management knowledge and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee IT project coordination, stability, and status reporting, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality delivery.
- Develop and implement project management processes and methodologies for consistent project quality and stability.
- Create project plans, define scopes, manage team assignments, and perform daily monitoring, including quality reviews and issue escalation.
- Track milestones and adjust plans/resources to meet changing project needs and stakeholder requirements.
- Facilitate enterprise-wide communication regarding project scope, budget, risk, and resources, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- Support Program Managers and senior management in prioritizing IT opportunities and acting as a liaison between project teams and executives.
- Manage and mentor project leaders and staff, guiding them to effectively manage projects and develop their skills.
- Apply resource and change management practices to ensure efficient project execution and balanced team workloads.
- Mid-level management experience with medium to large-sized, moderately to highly complex projects.
- Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Waterfall) and tools, including resource and change management.
- Proven leadership and mentorship abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating and aligning stakeholders and conveying project details to various audiences.
- Problem-solving skills with adaptability to dynamic environments and shifting priorities.
- Experience with IT project management in government or public sector environments.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).
- 7 years of IT experience, including 5+ years managing projects involving multiple technologies and functions.
- Proven success in leading medium to large-sized, moderately to highly complex projects, delivering them on time and within budget.
- Additional experience in the public sector, particularly with large-scale IT projects in government agencies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or completion of a recognized project management curriculum.
- Advanced project management certifications (e.g., Agile, Lean Six Sigma).
