Job Summary
The Program Manager - Satellite Systems is responsible for managing the definition, planning, and successful execution of the necessary satellite launches to build up our constellation. The role encompasses both functional execution oversight and technical performance that includes seeking satellite launch opportunities to meet mission requirements, proposal development, mission management, contract management, scheduling, and regulatory coordination, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a reliable and timely fashion.

Job Summary
The Program Manager - Satellite Systems is responsible for managing the definition, planning, and successful execution of the necessary satellite launches to build up our constellation. The role encompasses both functional execution oversight and technical performance that includes seeking satellite launch opportunities to meet mission requirements, proposal development, mission management, contract management, scheduling, and regulatory coordination, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a reliable and timely fashion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Program management for the development and delivery of advanced solutions for satellites and payloads.
- Identification and engagement of launch opportunities meeting mission requirements.
- Lead all pre-launch activities from the moment of the launch services agreement signature until actual launch.
- Support management objectives through stringent oversight of cost, schedule, staffing, and risk mitigation elements for the program.
- Drive program execution to achieve key mission objectives for new, continuing, and concurrent programs through close alignment with internal teams to ensure creation of plans and resolution of technical issues.
- Coordinate across multiple functional areas including finance, contracts, engineering, avionics and manufacturing.
- Plan and execute launch campaigns at different launch sites around the world, by defining and leading a suitable launch campaign team.
- Ensure that the necessary assets and Ground Support Equipment for launch campaigns are designed, procured, and maintained.
- Serve as focal point for teams within Sidus Space and launch services providers to ensure mission requirements are met and executed effectively.
- Interact with commissioning teams within Sidus Space to ensure a safe and reliable commissioning process after launch.
- Register and apply all lessons learned to improve mission execution effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support contract baseline planning, resource management, continuous process improvement, and contract reporting.
- Assures optimal allocation of resources to meet mission requirements; interfaces and provides status reports to customer.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline.
- Five (5) plus years of experience in program management, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Experience with aerospace projects / programs for both commercial (private) and government sectors, that include the design and development of space systems, satellite components, and/or satellite operations.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to represent the company in various countries.
- Capability of working under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Self-direction, flexibility, and eagerness to learn.
