- JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
- Initiates and executes medium to large sized program(s) with a broad focus that meet the needs of the organization. Plans, initiates, oversees execution of all elements for assigned program(s). Leads the development, implementation and management of assigned program(s) and associated projects. Oversees process from planning through transition to operational owner. Works with multiple internal teams, vendors, clients. Responsible for explaining, training, and mentoring the entire organization on the program.
- DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
- Samaritan Health Plans (SHP) operates a portfolio of health plan products under several different legal structures: InterCommunity Health Plans, Inc. (IHN) is designated as a regional Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) for Medicaid beneficiaries; Samaritan Health Plans, Inc. offers Medicare Advantage, Commercial Large Group, and Commercial Large Group PPO and EPO plans; SHP is also the third-party administrator for Samaritan Health Services' self-funded employee health benefit plan. As part of an Integrated Delivery System, Samaritan Health Plans is strategically and operationally aligned with Samaritan Health Services' mission of Building Healthier Communities Together.
- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
- Three (3) years directly related experience in a managed care/health plan/health insurance setting required.
- Leadership experience required.
- Training and certification on continuous improvement methodologies through an accredited organization preferred (i.e., Lean Six Sigma, Quality Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, Business Process Management).
- Experience and/or certification with Project Management methodologies through the Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred.
- Experience in management principles, practices, policies, procedures and regulations as they relate to assigned program(s) required.
- Experience and/or training in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software, required.
