We are currently seeking a LICENSED CLINICIAN for our program in Walpole. Annual salary range is $77,625 - $82,800 plus additional compensation for applicable licenses plus a $2,000 SIGN-ON BONUS after 60 days.

Position Requirements:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited program in a clinical area in any of the following disciplines: Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family, Social Work, School Adjustment Counseling.
  • Clinicians are required to hold current valid independent licensure in the state of Massachusetts (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, LCSW or School Adjustment Counselor).
  • 3-5 years' experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and individuals with mental health issues.
  • Experience working with family systems, community providers, school systems and crisis intervention within the last 3-5 years is preferred.
  • Safety Care, CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Must pass CORI background check.


Supervision Received: Assistant Director of Education

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Participates in the intake screening of potential new students to League School for Autism. If the student is accepted, reviews evaluation materials to develop goals and objectives for upcoming Individual Education Program meetings. This may include observations, review of records, and communicating with collateral providers as necessary.
  • Develops goals and objectives for the IEP, in consultation with the educational team, for each student on the caseload.
  • Monitors student progress and collaborates with classroom head teacher on goals to facilitate quarterly report writing for IEPs. Consults with head teacher and classroom team around programming, including developing curriculum and/or group lessons as they relate to social-emotional needs, as they impact the student and the classroom.
  • Develops curriculum content and materials, as needed, for the implementation of social-emotional programs for classroom lessons.
  • Provides counseling services to students on an individual basis, as determined by the clinical department in conjunction with the program team, to assist students with emotional regulation, social skills and appropriate boundaries.
  • Participates in meetings with parents/guardians, meetings with public school system personnel, and annual reviews as needed.
  • Attends classroom meetings, Clinical Team Meetings, program meetings, staff meetings, and department meetings. Comes prepared with agenda and/or ready to discuss issues and solutions.
  • Participates in residential meetings. Provides consultation and/or trainings regarding social-emotional based IEP goals and strategies to the residential staff as needed.
  • Responsible for assessing students in crisis for suicidal or homicidal ideation and assessing their level of risk. Responsible for coordinating services and contacting collateral providers, as necessary, to ensure student safety.
  • Completes written reports, as needed in a timely manner: Individual Education Programs, Suicidal/Homicidal Evaluations, Re-evaluation reports, Incident Reports, Accident Reports and Restraint Reports.
  • Provides input into the development of behavior intervention strategies, academic goals, and daily living techniques for individual students based on the student's social-emotional capabilities.
  • Supports the implementation of student behavior programs: positive reinforcement, breaks, time outs, etc., as designed by the Behavior Department and the team.
  • Provides families with information regarding community resources and supplemental services, as needed.
  • All Clinical Staff will be the in-house trainers for SCERTS and responsible for training all new employees in conjunction with the Education Coordinators.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned by the Assistant Director of Education or Director of Education, which are deemed necessary for the operation of the school.


  • Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
