NP/PA - Acute Pain Service

Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System located in Spartanburg, SC is seeking to hire FULL TIME Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our Anesthesia- Acute Pain Service team. The APPs will be part of an acute pain management service at Spartanburg Medical Center - Church Street (SMC) and Spartanburg Medical Center - Mary Black campus (MB). New graduates will only be considered with prior OR or Critical Care experience. Highlights of the opportunity include:

• 7 on/7 off: 7am - 3pm in house and 3pm - 7am beeper call
  • Monday - Friday:
    • rounding on inpatients
    • seeing consults and assisting physician with any associated procedures
    • making follow up phone calls to outpatients and discharged patients
    • documentation of services provided
    • beeper call
  • Saturday - Sunday
    • rounding on inpatients
    • seeing consults and assisting physician with any associated procedures
    • making follow up phone calls to outpatients and discharged patients
    • documentation of services provided
    • beeper call
• Assisting the anesthesiologist with the following procedures:
  • catheter placement and management for acute pain
  • single shot nerve blocks for acute pain
  • initiation and management of intravenous ketamine/lidocaine infusions for acute pain
