Hino Motors Manufacturing is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California.

We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to support our Mineral Wells, WV facility. The position will be based in Novi, MI & report to the Accounting Assistant General Manager. This individual will be responsible for the timely and accurate accounting for all plant specific manufacturing costs including labor costs as well as the accounting for and tracking of plant fixed asset acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • P&L analysis and reporting
  • Truck costing
  • Labor cost / headcount reporting
  • Production cost reporting
  • Cost reduction reporting (All reporting and analysis is monthly, quarterly, and annual)
  • Business planning and analysis (i.e. budgeting) - all labor and plant operating expenses, capital expenditures, and depreciation.
  • Fixed asset leader - reporting at the plant and corporate level including fixed asset physical count execution and results.
  • Review and posting of all labor and fixed asset journal entries.
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations
  • WV sales and property tax reporting and compliance
  • Policy and procedure documentation (when necessary)
  • Process improvement (when necessary)
  • Raw material physical inventory count support

Temporary/transitional responsibilities
  • Posting non-raw material accounts payable transactions
  • Weekly payment selection for all suppliers

Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 4 - 6 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience and general financial accounting required (e.g. journal entries, account reconciliations)
  • CPA or CMA preferred

Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of cost accounting and US GAAP
  • Ability to effectively respond to questions from management and staff
  • Develop working relationships with internal and external personnel
  • Strong organizational and data management
  • Knowledge of accounting software packages
  • Intermediate Excel skills required
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
