About the role
This is a wonderful opportunity to join the Ocado Group and External Reporting team and lead a team of 3. You will oversee and ensure the accurate production and timely delivery of consolidated financial reporting (including the Group's Full Year, Half Year, and UK Subsidiary entity accounts) and the development and maintenance of the Group's accounting policies in line with current IFRS and other statutory guidance.
You will interact closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to deliver financial statements while embedding a culture of strong controls and continuous improvement.
The Finance Manager will be a key contact in the relationship with the Group's external auditors, supporting the efficient planning and execution of the year end audit and half year review. You will also support the wider Finance Department in ad hoc projects, strategic developments, process improvements, and other finance-related projects driven by the growth of the business.

You will be
- Responsible for driving the year-end and half year-end financial statement reporting processes to produce reporting in accordance with IFRS and relevant statutory requirements
- Responsible for the preparation and presentation of significant elements within the Annual Report
- Key point of contact for external auditors ensuring planning and execution of the year end audit and half year review are well managed and ensuring information requests and deadlines are met
- Liaising with the relevant departments on the preparation of information for the year-end audit and the half year review
- Ownership of the timely preparation of annual financial statements for the Group's UK subsidiaries
- Assist in implementing new accounting standards and other reporting requirements, working with colleagues across finance to embed the required processes
- Support in the development of relevant Ocado Group reporting policies and manuals, providing insight across the wider finance community
- Contribute to commercial projects such as acquisitions; providing guidance and advice on reporting implications
- Support ad hoc initiatives e.g. system improvements
About you
- Qualified Accountant with 3+ years PQE
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and experience of preparing/auditing listed entity financial statements under IFRS
- Experience within a large-scale plc reporting environment
- Experience in a fast-paced, high growth, global organisation
- Experience with ERP and consolidation systems (e.g. Oracle Fusion, Oracle EPM)
