Job Description:

A Product Owner is part of the Product Management department. Product Management is responsible for leading the Product Team to meet business, customer and market needs. Product Management addresses the strategic and the technical strategic items and helps direct the tactical. The Product Owner owns product backlog, prioritizing features for the best economic outcome in alignment with the strategic goals and roadmap which is established by the Product Manager if applicable. The Product Owner will align work to value and research and break down major requirements into user stories for an agile development team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Stay abreast of industry development, always thinking about interoperability and workflow efficiency for current and future customers
  • Inform the product vision and strategy to align with market needs
  • Lead the approach and development plans of laboratory interoperability solutions
  • Managed products from concept to end-of-life, including product launches and coordination with go-to-market strategies
  • Bridge the strategic and tactical needs of the products
  • Contribute to competitor assessments (Battle cards, SWOT)
  • Clearly expressing Product Backlog items; create clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Ordering the items in the Product Backlog to best achieve goals and mission, optimizing the value of the development work performed;
  • Lead refinement, working closely with developers and architects to refine solution designs and estimate feature complexity
  • Enable quarterly planning sessions, ensuring comprehensive visibility across multiple sprints.
  • Review and accept the completed and tested user stories to make sure the work fulfills the criteria
  • Represents stakeholders' and customers' needs within the project team
  • Ensure readiness to release software, ensuring smooth execution and delivery of product to internal stakeholders and customers
  • Create release deliverables

Support Sales, Operations and Support teams as a product subject matter expert

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of healthcare IT, especially clinical laboratory and related integrations capabilities using HL7, FHIR
  • Experience innovating user-facing systems in healthcare, especially related to clinical laboratory workflows
  • Understanding of the healthcare IT market and major laboratory companies and vendors
  • Experience with Agile Software Development and the use of Azure DevOps or JIRA
  • Experience with Salesforce and Figma
  • Familiarity with Confluence, SharePoint for collaboration and documentation
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence preferred
  • PSPO Preferred
  • A strong command of the English language
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills
  • Display the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
  • Ability to quickly assimilate large amounts of complex technical information and turn that into opportunities and visual or text-based resources
  • Good interpersonal and teamworking skills to communicate and work well at all levels of the organization and across geographies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
