Description:

Define, drive, and implement program requirements from Concept to mass production and sustaining. Derive workflows, timelines, communications/channels, risks, and mitigation plans. Defining critical paths, and any other issues that arise for the launch and validation of new Interior systems and components in all Tesla factory locations, Fremont, Shanghai, and Berlin. Work cross functionally with Design Studio, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, NPI, Production and Service to establish new program cadence.

Responsibilities
  • Work continuously with supplier project managers to keep their timelines in line with program timelines and deliverables. Drive expediting discussions, engineering changes and their impact on cost and timing
  • Establish a roadmap that supports the launch of new features and functionality in the product roadmap
  • Drive the global pilot launch of new systems and components by building cross-functional partnerships across the organization
  • Provide insight around potential risks and opportunities, resolve conflict, initiate resolution, and deliver results
  • Identify and document all program milestones and deliverables and keep program plans up to date, including monitoring schedules, milestones, deliverables, updating percentage completion
  • Continuously monitor and measure program readiness and activities to identify and communicate potential issues, risks, or problems in a timely fashion and provide corrective action options to drive to resolution
  • Plan for the global implementation of changes to interior parts and systems according to Tesla Change Management process
  • Collaborate with suppliers and to support overall vehicle launch milestones and prototype/production build events
  • Support Tesla test engineering teams to ensure systems and components testing is delivered on time. This could also be local testing sites and supplier testing to ensure DVP plans are systematically executed
  • Follow up with suppliers regarding system/part level validation timelines to ensure completion of DVP timelines


Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ year experience in product development, ideally with multiple delivered products in medium-to-high volume industry
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills with ability to work in a highly cross-functionally environment
  • Experience in fast paced environment with exposure to end-to-end product deployment - from concept through development and successful launch
  • Understanding of Seating/Interiors/Vehicle architectures. Ability to work with BOM, 3DX PLM and various cross functional team including Engineering, Supply chain, NPI Manufacturing etc.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage diverse teams
  • Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in PM/communication tools such as Confluence, Jira, schedules, etc.
  • Experience working in a fast pace environment, multi-tasking and leading cross functional teams

    • Expected Compensation$88,000 - $300,000/annual salary, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefitsPay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
