Education Requirement:
Minimum qualifications include a B.S./M.S/ PHD in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field, with industrial or academic experience.
Experience and Skills Required:
Hands on experience with conjugation, purification and characterization of antibody drug conjugates, and experience using analytical techniques/instrumentation, including chromatographic techniques such as HIC (Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography) and RP (Reverse Phase), SEC, SDS-PAGE, UV Vis.
Nice to have skills: Biologics analytic experience, purification techniques.
Must have: Bio-conjugation experience, protein biochemistry and Chemistry background.
Personality: Team player, Adheres to timeline, Communicative and collaborative.
Note: Onsite, 100% Lab based role. Possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
This is a Bio-conjugation Scientist role with MRL SSF Discovery Chemistry group.
The successful candidate will join multidisciplinary, highly collaborative discovery teams to invent Client medicines by applying optimized conjugation protocols, analytical techniques, and data analysis to synthesize drug candidates and intermediates.
Successful candidates must have excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills in a team environment.
Additionally, it is expected that the successful candidate will learn quickly through on-the-job training to become increasingly skilled and independent in reaction setup, route design and optimization.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Perform bioconjugations of linker-payload combinations to antibodies with emphasis on in-house established methods
Selection and application of appropriate purification techniques for biologics (i.e., SEC, hydrophobic interaction chromatography, ion exchange chromatography)
Acquisition and interpretation of analytical data such as LC/MS.
