We are looking for a Brand Manager to join our Marketing team for a fixed term contract covering a maternity leave. You will be responsible for overall responsibility for Sparkling Water Maker & C02 portfolio which includes: 5P management, in store merchandising & Innovation. Serves as a mentor/coach and/or manages and develops Brand Marketing Specialist. As Brand Manager, you are responsible for optimizing our Sparkling water maker & C02 category to ensure the 5 Ps are all effectively working together to attract new SodaStream consumers and increase consumption by existing users.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborating with key stakeholders regarding channel & customer portfolio management, leveraging the portfolio to differentiate or create consistency, as appropriate.
Build or identify promotional packs & bundles, leading them from development and P&L through to execution. Develops product pricing recommendations considering what's best for SodaStream, its customers and consumers owns & manages the price lists for both existing & new customers.
Innovation: Identifying, planning & executing product launches, taking the lead from HQ and adapting the global portfolio for the Canadian market. Develop a Go-To-Market plan for all new launches for categories.
SKU rationalization.
Develops annual category plans & on-going analysis of portfolio.
As the product expert, develops insight-driven, compelling sales materials for HQ & field sales.
Review HQ packaging and providing timely and thorough feedback based on local strategies, insights, legal and regulatory requirements.
Develop materials to explain the SodaStream process to managers & employees with a focus on CO2 exchange, fulfillment, and regulatory compliance.
Work with the brand team to develop communications for the brand including Advertising.
Key lead for PR sustainability program for SodaStream Canada.
You are responsible for ensuring that SodaStream products attract attention and convert to purchase in-store and on-line.
Gathers & curates insights to inform campaign development that meet shopper/consumer needs. Collaborates with sales on strategies, selling-in of shopper directed campaigns tied to key themes/occasions. Ensure detailed work back to ensure campaigns delivered on schedule & ontime. Evaluates the performance of campaigns against goals & objectives.
Design or adapt pre-packed displays. Negotiate pricing and identify quantities, collaborating closely with the sales team.
Develop POP that both educate and lead to conversion at store level & ensuring a link with social & digital programs.
Collaborate with HQ Trade Marketing team to develop & execute shopper marketing materials that are relevant to the Canadian Market
Develop strong plans for:
National in-store demo programs.
Customer & Consumer trade shows.
Work with customers to develop assets for their websites.
Work with customers to develop digital programs to grow their businesses.
Manage Marketing Specialist & provide support as required
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required.
2 to 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in Canadian CPG.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to influence and strong attention to detail.
Project Management skills including experience in driving project timelines & budgetary
requirements.
Proven experience in commercialization and product launches.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, experienced in developing strong
and motivating briefs & experience in overall vendor and agency management.
Analytical skills, strong excel skills and a solid understanding of P&L's.
High energy and ability to manage through ambiguity.
