Title: Manager III, Tech/Support Services
Responsible for leading and managing the district-wide IT support operations, ensuring the delivery of consistent, highquality technical services across all schools within the district. The ITT Manager oversees a team of ITT Supervisors, who, in turn, manage school-based Information Technology Technicians (ITTs), ensuring they are well-prepared to address Tier 1 and Tier 2 support issues. This role encompasses strategic planning, resource allocation, and the development of comprehensive training programs for IT staff and district employees, with a focus on enhancing overall technical proficiency and operational efficiency.
Essential Functions:
Oversees the daily operations and staff management of the Information Technology Technicians (ITTs) and ITT Supervisors.
Provide leadership and mentorship to ITT Supervisors, conduct performance evaluations, and manage the recruitment and retention of ITT personnel.
Develop and implement ITT support strategies, monitor team performance, and address escalated technical issues.
Resolve employee concerns and issues, direct workflow, and provide guidance on policies, procedures, and work methodologies.
Oversee training programs for ITT staff, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge with a strong focus on customer service.
Stay informed of emerging trends in information technology, demonstrating continuous professional development.
Collaborate on long-term technology strategies, assist in technology deployments, and recommend infrastructure improvements.
Ensure accurate documentation of support activities, prepare performance reports, and maintain adherence to standard operating procedures.
Act as the primary liaison between the Division of Information and Instructional Technology (DIIT) and school technology leadership.
Coordinate communication between ITT and other departments, facilitate meetings, and represent ITT on district-wide committees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is required, or a related combination of leadership experience with relevant certifications.
Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory/managerial level information technology, systems administration, project management, or closely related experience is required.
