The Director of Engineering and Construction is responsible for the oversight of Engineering and Construction daily operations, including ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
Additionally, you'll:
- Coordinate all construction activities and projects within the organization.
- Administer long- and short-term construction projects in support of organizational objectives.
- Evaluate potential or existing sites or structures for development/construction potential.
- Develop plans for new-build or renovation projects, solicit and review bids, select and negotiate with contractors, and assist with the contracting process.
- Conduct periodic site visits, ensuring that projects are completed as designed, in compliance with accepted plans and specifications, and on time and within approved budgets.
- Manage relationships with associates, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain all department inventory, conduct periodic security equipment, and supply inventory audits.
- Ensure that company policy, goals and objectives, including department policy, MCCH internal controls and MGCB regulations are complied with by staff.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:
- Five years of previous facilities engineering experience, extensive experience in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (or any other alternative deemed appropriate).
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or comparable industry experience (or any other alternative deemed appropriate).
