Short Description
Short Description: Per Diem Cooper Emergency Department APN/PA
- A wonderful opportunity for an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant looking to serve patients in a busy urban emergency department fast track type setting.
- Shift Type: 12 hours; 8am-8pm
- Work autonomously in our state of the art "iTrack" evaluating ESI level 4 & 5 and low acuity level 3 patients.
- Provide care to a variety of common health conditions for ages 18 and older including suturing, draining abscesses, interpreting x-rays and EKGs, splinting, URI's, UTI's, musculoskeletal injuries, etc.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in an Emergency Department.
- Qualifications include experienced APN from a certified Family APN program or certified Physician Assistant program, ability to function autonomously, ability to assess acuity of patients, diagnose and treat common minor illnesses/conditions. Must be board certified and licensed to practice in the state of New Jersey.
Education Requirements
Master's - Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant.
License/Certification Requirements
License Requirements:
- Degree Required: Master's in Nursing/Physician Assistant Degree
- Required License/Certifications/ Registration:
- NJ Physician Assistant Or Family Advanced Practice Nurse Licensed.
- Current NJ-BLS Certification
- NCCPA certification is required for Physician Assistants
