What started out as a single restaurant with a vision to bring Burmese/Asian cuisine to the world, has quickly turned into a family of restaurants, a non-profit organization, as well as a retail line, and this is just the beginning.
Burma Inc is seeking a skilled and experienced General Manager to spearhead the operations of one of our Southeast Asian inspired Restaurants. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years managerial experience in the restaurant industry, with a strong passion for hospitality, food and beverage helping us embody our commitment to pushing culinary boundaries while celebrating the rich tapestry of Southeast Asian cuisine.
As the General Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, service, financial performance, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Your primary goal will be to drive revenue growth, maintain high-quality standards, and create a positive and welcoming environment for both guests and all team members.

Skills and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of management experience in an upscale restaurant desired
- Strong understanding of P&L management
- Active Food Handler, Sexual Harassment Certification and RBS
- Asian Cuisine experience a plus
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Proven ability to train, lead and motivate a diverse front of house team
- Experience with Toast, POS System, ADP, Opentable, Doordash, UberEats
- Working knowledge of Google Spreadsheet and Docs a plus
- Knowledge of wine and beverage service is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all front-of-house activities to ensure excellent dining experiences for guests
- Train, mentor, and lead a team of waitstaff, hosts, and bussers. Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently met
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and customer flow to optimize restaurant efficiency
- Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for guest
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback and complaints with professionalism, grace and efficiency
- Work with AGM with any duties outside or regular business hours, including scheduling, bank deposits, inventory and payroll
- Monitor and approve all voids and discounts
- Responsible for opening and closing duties of the restaurant as needed
- Ensure that the restaurant is ready for service at the beginning of every shift
- This position reports to the VP of Restaurant Operations
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive Salary $110,000-120,000 DOE
