Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse (PACU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 1pm - 9:30pm, Monday to Friday, with 6 - 8 days of on-call per month required Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of strong PACU experience License: TX or Multistate RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Strong Phase I PACU experience; CCU Pediatric experience is a must; Ability to recover critical care patients Job Description: - Perform the essential duties, responsibilities, and primary functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of assigned patients.- Complete a comprehensive assessment, including the initial and ongoing, extensive collection, analysis, and interpretation of data.- Synthesize the data collected during the comprehensive assessment to identify problems, make nursing diagnoses, and formulate goals, teaching plans, and outcomes.- Implement the plan of care, which may involve beginning, delivering, assigning, or delegating certain interventions within legal, ethical, and regulatory parameters while considering health restoration, disease prevention, wellness, and promotion of healthy lifestyles.- Evaluate and report patient outcomes and responses to therapeutic interventions compared to benchmarks from evidence-based practice and research findings, and plan any follow-up care and referrals to appropriate resources needed.- Masks are required in all areas of the hospital, including hallways, cafeteria (unless dining), teaming stations, department, and common areas.- A full state and county criminal background check is required if selected for assignment.
