JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Social Media is a social media domain expert with a genuine passion for developing and expressing a brand's authentic voice and growing an authentic, engaged community. You are an executive who thrives at brand storytelling and audience connection. You will oversee the productive, deployment and performance evaluation of all original content across ONE/SIZE social media channels, with a primary focus on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. You will oversee our editorial and algorithmic strategy and our creative branded campaigns across all social channels. Evaluation of content performance will be meticulously conducted against key performance indicators on daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis. Results will be reported to the organization and drive key strategic decisions at the leadership level.

You are one part business executive and one part executive producer. You are equal parts analytical and creative. Your strategic acumen and creative instincts will be instrumental in elevating brand awareness, fostering profitable growth across direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels, retail partnerships, and business collaborations. On the analytical side, you will spearhead sales initiatives and formulate omnichannel strategies, establishing the brand as a trailblazer in social-first marketing that drives sales results.

You understand that the biggest opportunities often arise from the smallest details. You have a keen eye for detail and you'll methodically oversee community management to build a genuine, long-term connection with our audiences so that everyone's voice is heard. In your role, you'll significantly impact our DTC, retailers, and business partners' sales by driving organic lift and awareness of our inclusive brand and our iconic products. You will also be a direct business contributor by driving sales and creating strategists for our omnichannel network. Your role is an integral part of this social-first brand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive social media strategy that elevates ONE/SIZE's brand presence, supports DTC and Sephora initiatives, and grows our audience and community.
  • Content Creation & Deployment: Oversee the creation of highly compelling platform-specific content that resonates with our target audience, leveraging real-time trends and cultural moments to boost engagement.
  • Community Management: Cultivate and manage a vibrant community across all social platforms, ensuring consistent and meaningful interaction with our followers.
  • Product Education: Bring product education to life via engaging social content, develop an active collaboration with our Founder, in-house content producers, freelancers and UGC talent.
  • Brand Expression: Help us refine and articulate ONE/SIZE's real, genuine voice on social media, and authentically communicate the ONE/SIZE brand story through innovative social media strategies. Craft engaging online narratives focused about our community that goes beyond just product marketing - bring the "why" of the ONE/SIZE brand to life.
  • Process Development & Improvement: Optimize social media posting and community management processes and tools, so that we work smarter not harder as we grow and scale our channels.
  • Partnership & Collaboration: Rally cross-functional partners from Brand Management, Creative, Retail, Digital, and DTC around a common vision to ensure thoughtful and strategic activation of ideas.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Utilize data-driven insights to refine social media strategies, ensuring content effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Budget Management: Responsibly own and manage our budget allocation and reflows for the Social Media team, ensuring cost-effective strategies that deliver measurable results.
  • Social Live Stream Management: Manage and coordinate weekly TikTok Livestreams featuring internal talent as well as external influencers, ensuring seamless execution and maximizing audience engagement opportunities across platforms.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay ahead of emerging social trends, platform updates, and digital marketing innovations to keep One/Size at the forefront of the industry.
  • New Channel Development: Grow and nurture our ONE/SIZE community on every channel that makes sense for the brand, including positioning ONE/SIZE as an early adopter on new and emergent channels.
  • Partnerships & Innovation:Keep up with what's new in social media and how it works, and build good relationships with our social media partners at platform HQs.


QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required, MBA is a plus
Passionate about consuming content from every social platform
5+ years of experience in brand communication with a sophisticated understanding of social channels along with earned and paid tactics
Ideally has work with a founder led brand
Proven record of building consumer brands in social and earned media
A deep empathy for consumers and strong interest in fashion, culture and trends
Experience in beauty is ideal
Experience building, leading, and managing a team of direct reports, with the ability to drive multiple projects at once
Highly collaborative, with an ability to work well in a cross-functional team
Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
Problem solving and entrepreneurial in nature
Move quickly and feel comfortable having autonomy to lead projects

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Lifting: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
