Reporting to the Project Manager and Project Director, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the following:

  • Preparation of drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documents for electrical distribution, protection, controls, and other auxiliary systems for dam and hydroelectric projects;
  • Ensure design compliance with guidelines, codes, regulations, and other reference documentation;
  • Assist project managers in the technical planning, control, and coordination of projects;
  • Work closely with technical teams to coordinate engineering work;
  • Ensure quality assurance of deliverables;
  • Evaluation of electrical/controls systems, products, and components;
  • Report writing and equipment recommendation/selection;
  • Incorporation of engineering changes into design;
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • Registered member of EGBC is required;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction industry;
  • Experience in hydroelectricity and dams is considered an asset;
  • Strong computer skills with various software experience, including MS Office, BlueBeam, ACC, etc.
  • Bilingualism, French and English, would be considered an asset.
