As Quorum's Infrastructure Specialist, youwill embrace our commitment to operational excellence and will be instrumental in contributing to the formation of our DevOps group, shaping the culture, and driving for results. Possessing sound judgement with the ability to resolve complex issues the Infrastructure Specialist role will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration, automation, and operational excellence of our infrastructure environments. Your technical expertise, process optimization, and collaboration with development teams will drive efficiency, reliability, and innovation across the environments for our industry leading dealership software solutions.

Objectives:
  • Maintain Production Infrastructure and Provide Escalation Support:
    • Ensure the stability and reliability of production systems.
    • Provide timely escalation support for any production issues that arise.
  • Technical Problem Solving:
    • Identify and address technical challenges as they arise.
  • Cybersecurity Measures:
    • Continuously assess vulnerabilities and deploy cybersecurity measures to protect systems.
  • Collaborate with Software Development Teams:
    • Work closely with development teams to improve the reliability and performance of our application infrastructure environments.
    • Implement tools for testing and analysis.
  • Testing and Automation:
    • Implement various testing and automation methods.
    • Set up the necessary IT infrastructure to support these methods.
  • Monitoring, Optimization and Automation:
    • Monitor production environment.
    • Identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Encourage and build automated processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Project Planning and Management:
    • Plan and execute projects related to infrastructure.
    • Be involved in project management decisions.
  • Mentorship and Guidance:
    • Mentor and guide other team members across the organization.

Here is what we will expect from you at work:
  • Infrastructure Provisioning and Management:
    • Design, build, and maintain a secure, robust, and scalable Windows infrastructure for Azure Virtual Desktop and on-premises environments.
    • Implement best practices for monitoring infrastructure and applications, and provide recommendations to ensure availability, performance, and security.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Develop, implement and enforce security best practices within the on-premises and Azure environment.
  • Monitoring:
    • Monitor system performance, conduct regular system audits, and provide optimization recommendations.
    • Implement centralized monitoring and logging.
    • Set up automated alerts and notifications to proactively identify issues.
  • Support and Training
    • Provide technical support and training to internal teams, ensuring their ability to effectively support the Azure Virtual Desktop and on-premises environments.
  • Documentation and Technical Communication:
    • Write clear documentation, tutorials, and technical presentations for various stakeholders.
    • Clear communication skills with the ability to adapt communication to different levels of business and technical understanding.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization.
  • Participation in on-call rotation and shift work as required.


Here is the kind of candidate we are looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3 years of proven experience with Windows Remote Desktop Services, or as an Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer or similar Azure role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Azure Networking, Azure Monitor, Azure DevOps, and Azure Security.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server Operating system including Active Directory, Group Policy, Remote Desktop Services.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server beneficial.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager templates, and Terraform.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot complex issues, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
