Surety Bond Account Exec Production

Surety bond producer for a Maryland based surety bonding agency. Duties and responsibilities would include the following: managing an existing book of business that includes construction contractors, commercial enterprises, and real-estate developers. Most accounts are located in the Washington Metropolitan area. Eligible candidate will be responsible for managing the clients' bonding needs, including, dealing with various Surety Companies to procure bid and final bonds, submitting client underwriting information to Surety Companies, and maintaining ongoing communication with clients and their Surety Company to insure a high level of customer service. Candidate will be required to be able to analyze financial statements. While this skill is not an absolute requirement of the candidate, it is a skill that is required of the position. If necessary, training will be available for the individual hired for the position. Additionally a primary responsibility of an eligible candidate will be to market the agency to potential new clients, and to procure new business. These efforts will consist of networking, cold calling, working with various associations, and utilizing client referrals. Candidate will currently have or procure at the earliest opportunity a State Of Maryland Property and Casualty license, which is necessary to produce bond business in the state of Maryland. Salary will be dependent on experience, and knowledge of the bonding / construction industry. Additionally, commissions can also be earned based on sales volume and new business produced.
