JOB DESCRIPTION:

Audubon is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our project team working onsite at a client's plant in Baytown, TX. The Project Engineer will be accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Areas of Responsibility will include:

  • Promoting values and ideals of company.
  • Demonstrating exemplary communication and organizational skills.
  • Understanding, following, and enforcing SEP's.
  • Ensuring proper sign-off on all deliverables being issued. Spot checks for proper checking.
  • Ensuring deliverables are issued on schedule.
  • Preparing change order request at the direction of PM.
  • Coordinating change order estimates at the direction of PM.
  • Reviewing or creating meeting minutes from project meetings.
  • Responsible for project status reports.
  • Managing project action item list, RFI list, close-out punch list etc.
  • May be required to facilitate internal and external project meetings.
  • Coordinating MOC efforts.
  • Developing/adjusting project support team level work flow processes.
  • Facilitating multi-disciplinary communication.
  • Resolving project audit deficiencies.
  • Administering the development and issuance of project specs.
  • Resolving day to day project issues/emergencies.

  • Additional duties as assigned.


EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position:

  • Required: BS Engineering (or higher).
  • Preferred: ABET accredited institution.
  • 5 years, field experience, experience working in the offshore oil and gas industry (preferred) or onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing, or refining.
  • Experience as the lead engineer on medium and large multi-discipline projects.
  • PMP certification recommended; PE license recommended.
  • Basic understanding of multi-discipline deliverables, procurement and construction activities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong team leadership capabilities.
  • Capable of reviewing and approving deliverables for consistency and presentation.
  • Can develop and manage manpower requirements for projects.
  • Capable of coordinating project schedules.
  • Capable of coordinating cost estimates.
