THEROLE IN A NUTSHELL
The Director ofCreating Shared Value (CSV) is a strategic leadership role responsible forinvesting $75M to advance health equity for 1M Canadians by 2025. Theindividual will foster a culture of innovation and shared value creation withinthe organization including developing, managing, and optimizing CSVinitiatives, programs, and products, aligning the company's business strategywith societal needs and challenges through interdisciplinary team leadershipwithin a matrix organization. By creating shared value, bringing the organization'ssocial impact and business strategies together, this role will advance asustainable social mission that can grow the organization to become an evenstronger force for good.

Strategy Development:
  • Integrate shared value principles into key enterprise strategies.
  • Identify and prioritize social issues that align with business objectives, developing strategies to address them to benefit both the company and the community.

CSV Development:
  • Operationalize CSV strategy and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build operating models and processes to adapt, co-create, or develop new products and services that create value for the company and society, ultimately scaling and integrating new products and services into enterprise technology and operations.
  • Establish and execute strategic plans to embed CSV and integrate ESG across the enterprise.
  • Develop and implement CSV & ESG tools, frameworks, policies and processes.

Planning & Implementation:
  • Lead the development and implementation of tactical plans and budget that lay the foundation for 2030 vision as well as support the achievement of 2025 Cares targets and annual operating plan.
  • Direct the execution of shared value initiatives and projects, ensuring that these initiatives are effectively managed, meet their objectives, and are delivered on time and within budget.

Team Leadership:
  • Support VP to direct team operations to build social impact core competencies and operationalize strategy, including managing engagement of staff, contractors, consultants, and shared services.
  • Develop an interdisciplinary team dedicated to creating shared value and innovation across a matrix organization.
  • Foster an environment of learning and growth, ensuring team members have the skills and resources they need to succeed.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead continuous improvement to optimize and streamline processes related to Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting.
  • Evolve Greenshields Impact Measurement Framework to demonstrate the advancement of health equity and health outcomes.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Master's degree focusing on business, healthcare, social entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business or healthcare strategy, operations, innovation, social impact, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role focusing on strategy, innovation, social entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of supervisory/managerial experience in a matrix organization and demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and teams.
  • Proficiency in managing complex projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity and navigate complex systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills - engaging and collaborating with various stakeholders, including community groups, businesses, and government entities.
  • Demonstrated passion and commitment to social impact.
  • Shared Value - a strong understanding of shared value principles, business strategy, and experience in integrating social issues into business models.
  • Business Acumen and Strategic Thinking - strong understanding of program management, operations, strategy development, and market dynamics. Ability to align social issues with business capabilities and goals.
  • Innovation and Incubation Management - knowledge of innovation processes, including identifying opportunities, developing new ideas, and implementing solutions alongside product team.
  • Impact measurement - ability to develop and implement metrics to measure initiatives' social and business impact.
