SUMMARY

American Leather seeks an experienced and results-driven National Sales Manager to lead and optimize our sales efforts nationwide. Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Sales, the National Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that drives revenue growth, enhances market share, and strengthens our presence in high-end and mainstream furniture sectors. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the furniture industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to effectively manage a national sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy, Planning & Customer Management:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Set clear sales goals and objectives for each Brand Ambassador by territory, aligning with overall company objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including volume and market share penetration.
  • Ensure efficient sales processes and workflows, leveraging reporting and sales tools for optimal efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales and promotional activities, including product launches, advertising campaigns, and High Point Market.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, including entering new markets and expanding existing ones.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, trade showrooms, and retail partners nationwide.
  • Resolve customer issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the point of sales program through brand ambassadors, including developing sales and training programs to strengthen American Leather's relationship with retail partners.

Leadership & Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Brand Ambassadors nationwide.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to the sales team to ensure consistent performance and professional development.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set individual targets, and provide training opportunities to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Foster a high-performance culture with clear accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and execute sales strategies in a quarterly action plan to impact existing key accounts, target accounts, and the development of new business opportunities within assigned market segments.
