General Description

The Director of Compliance and Quality Assurance (DCQA) is a member of the organization's Program Management Office who oversees the department nationwide to ensure compliance and quality assurance aligns with the provision of services in accordance with the program. The DCQA will evaluate cross-regional trends, establish critical metrics and dashboards, create performance measures, evaluate policy and practices for applicability and ensure continued utilization. The DCQA will assist all programmatic departments in reporting and determination of outcomes through monthly quality improvement meetings. Additionally, the DCQA will lead internal audits to assess compliance, evaluate and identify areas of risk and develop corrective action plans, as needed for program improvement. In collaboration with Human Resources, the DCQA will investigate concerns related to dissatisfaction of services, child/sponsor grievances, and staff code of conduct violations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least five years experience in quality assurance and compliance roles, with at least three years in a leadership position.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing a robust quality assurance and compliance system.
  • Proven experience leading teams and providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, adapting, and customer-focused environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • A valid driver's license to travel for meetings.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Program development and organizational leadership experience.
  • Certified Quality Auditor certification, a plus.


What You'll Be Doing
  • Develop and implement quality assurance strategies and systems to ensure quality, compliance and safety.
  • Evaluate cross-regional trends, establish critical metrics and dashboards, create performance measures, evaluate policy and practices for applicability and ensure continued utilization.
  • Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the program's compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry standards, and adjust policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Identify areas for improvement in quality and compliance processes.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance quality and compliance.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance data and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality assurance and compliance activities.
  • Develop a compliance system and coordinate and prepare for regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Lead internal audits to assess compliance, evaluate and identify areas of risk and develop corrective action plans, as needed for program improvement
  • Present audit findings and outcomes of performance measures.
  • Prepare and present reports on quality metrics, compliance status, and improvement initiatives.
  • Investigate concerns related to dissatisfaction of services, child/sponsor grievances, and staff code of conduct violations.
  • Create and update proper documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.
  • Recruit, train, and develop quality assurance and compliance staff.
  • Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality and compliance requirements are integrated into all processes.
  • Create and monitor key performance indicators for the department and report department data to leadership.
  • May lead or participate in interdepartmental project groups or task forces to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, contract awards, and new policy requirements
  • Maintain a flexible schedule and travel as required for local, state, and national team meetings, and trainings.
  • Related duties as assigned and may be revised as needed to meet program needs.
