In AutoPak Engineering Corp. we're looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team and help us maintain our financial health as we continue to grow.

Description:
As a Senior Accountant at AutoPak, you will play a critical role in managing our financial operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Your work will directly support the financial stability and growth of our company.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor financial reports including accounts payable, and accounts receivables.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
• Monitor and control costs and expenses to ensure efficient use of company resources.
• Work closely with the management team to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
• Prepare project budgeting and forecasting.
• Oversee the cost accounting function, ensuring accurate tracking of production costs, overheads, and inventory valuation.
• Analyze cost structures and recommend strategies to optimize profitability.
• Work with production and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and maintain inventory control systems.
• Analyze inventory data and recommend solutions for inventory optimization.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring accurate and timely completion of accounting tasks.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification or MBA is preferred.

Requirement & Skills:

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with cost accounting and inventory management.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)
