Job Summary:
PIC Group is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer to support large-frame gas turbine projects in Lake Mary, FL. This role involves specifying and procuring instrumentation, maintaining control logic documentation, and supporting project engineering teams. The I&C Engineer will ensure that all instrumentation meets the required specifications, code, and schedule requirements for gas turbine power projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry standards, including ISA, ANSI/NEMA, NFPA, and AGA, and will be comfortable working in fast-paced project environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Determine customer instrumentation and control contract requirements and delivery schedules.
Develop and maintain procurement schedules for instrumentation.
Prepare technical specifications and Requests for Quotes (RFQs) for instrumentation equipment.
Verify supplier quotes and ensure all instrumentation complies with system P&IDs and instrument lists.
Create and maintain instrument loops, data sheets, and technical drawings.
Manage all design input documents necessary for creating an I/O list.
Collaborate with clients, suppliers, contractors, project management, and relevant authorities within time and cost constraints.
Work closely with internal teams, including design engineers, operations engineers, purchasers, and sales/marketing staff.
Resolve customer comments on drawings and ensure compliance with technical standards.
Create and maintain I&C procedures, checklists, and project documentation.
Provide troubleshooting and problem-solving support at various project sites.
Ensure compliance with applicable technical standards, such as ISA, ANSI/NEMA, NFPA, and AGA.
Assist in qualifying new vendors as required.
Travel up to 15% to support project activities.

Job Requirements:
Experience in interpreting system P&IDs, creating procurement schedules, and specifying instrumentation equipment.
Knowledge of relevant codes, including ISA, ANSI/NEMA, NFPA, and AGA.
Proficiency in creating and reviewing technical documentation, including data sheets, I/O lists, and vendor specifications.
Ability to collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure all technical and schedule requirements are met.
Strong ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues at project sites.
Experience with root cause analysis and resolving non-conformance issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.

Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand and walk, with occasional lifting/moving of items up to 25 pounds.
May need to lift/move items up to 50 pounds.
Work environments may vary from moderate to loud noise levels, with hearing protection recommended or required in some areas.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required; Master's Degree is desirable.
5+ years of experience in instrumentation and control systems, particularly for power plants or large industrial projects.
Experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) and SmartPlant 3D (S3D), Factory Acceptance Testing (FATs), and field troubleshooting.
