We are looking for a Director, Programs and Partnerships
As the Director of Finance, you provide leadership and oversight in all aspects of CICan's financial services including planning and budgeting, accounting, reporting, treasury functions, procurement, and risk management. You will ensure that these functions/services are performed in a manner that protects the organization's reputation, safeguards its financial assets, and maintains its financial viability. In carrying out these responsibilities you will work closely with senior leaders and maintain collaborative relationships to effect change and to meet current and future needs related to services provided by the Finance team. Your leadership skills will be utilized in the modernization of the financial processes and systems, while ensuring agile services in a high-performance and high impact team environment. You also play a highly visible role throughout the organization and work closely with staff at all levels of the organization to support them individually and collectively in their areas of responsibilities. As member of CICan's Directors' Table you will contributes to corporate planning, priority setting, and policy discussions as well as to the achievement of the organization's vision, mission and strategic objectives.

Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in:
- Managing within Financial Operations with direct experience in external audit, financial reporting and the administration of financial and accounting systems;
- Proven track record of budgetary and fiscal responsibility;
- In the development, planning and implementation of financial strategies and processes;
- Developing strong alliances and working networks across an organization and with all levels of leadership;
- Employee management, including recruitment, professional development, coaching, performance management, team building and conflict resolution.
Knowledge of:
- Finance concepts and practice regarding cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting, business analytics;
- Procurement processes and principles;
- Financial administration and financial management practices and techniques: cash management and banking;
- Investment fundamentals.
- Change management;
- Microsoft Office suite and financial accounting systems;
- Canadian college and institute network and operations (an asset).
Professional Training:
- Post-secondary diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
Compensation: $107,257 to $142,078 (MGT II)
Status: Permanent Full-Time
Location: 1 Rideau Street, suite 701, Ottawa, Ontario, K1N 8S7
Working conditions:
- Hybrid work environment with ability to attend the Ottawa office regularly.
