The In-House HR Attorney will oversee HR operations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, policies and fostering a positive workplace culture. This position is responsible for handling various HR activities, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and policy development. The HR Attorney collaborates with management and employees to ensure a positive work environment and alignment with organizational goals and values. The role requires a thorough understanding of HR best practices, healthcare industry regulations, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

1. Compliance and Legal:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations within the healthcare industry. Stay updated on changes in HR laws and regulations, and work with the HR Director to implement necessary revisions to policies and procedures. Work with the HR Director and revise HR policies, employee handbooks, and related documentation. Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
2. HR Policy and Procedure:
Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures. Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures to employees. Ensure consistent application of HR policies across the organization.

- Collect and analyze HR data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Prepare reports on HR metrics such as turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and recruitment effectiveness.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
4. Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive work environment and address employee concerns and grievances professionally.
- Conduct investigations as necessary and resolve issues in line with company policies and legal requirements.
- Promote open communication and a supportive workplace culture.
- Administer disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans in collaboration with management.
5. Performance Management:
- Develop and implement performance management systems to evaluate employee performance.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance issues and development plans.
- Conduct performance appraisals and ensure consistent and fair evaluations.
6. Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team.
- Set performance goals and provide regular feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources.
- 5 years of experience in human resources management in the healthcare industry.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Thorough understanding of healthcare industry regulations, such as HIPAA and OSHA.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including ADA, FMLA, and EEOC.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
