The testing and data processing infrastructure at UDC is continuously expanding and improving to meet the needs of a growing research and development team. The Research Engineer will be part of a professional team engaged in the development and maintenance of custom-built OLED device characterization test equipment.

Job Summary:
The testing and data processing infrastructure at UDC is continuously expanding and improving to meet the needs of a growing research and development team. The Research Engineer will be part of a professional team engaged in the development and maintenance of custom-built OLED device characterization test equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop GUI driven, Windows environment, software/hardware systems to control test equipment, data acquisition systems and similar devices, interfacing with and incorporating a variety of sensors and motors
- Support existing custom Python software, APIs, databases, and Linux environment
- Develop standalone or integrated custom data acquisition and analysis programs for a wide audience of both advanced and novice end users
- Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot testing infrastructure in an efficient and organized manner
- Create necessary support documentation and provide training
- Effectively manage and prioritize a diversified workload of short term/long term projects
- Additional duties as required
Required Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Programing, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of industry experience or MS degree in Computer Programing, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of industry experience
- Proficient in Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Linux, Docker, and related languages and systems
- Experience with Linux system administration, API design, container orchestration, and website design.
- Experience in the interface and control of scientific instrumentation of automated measurements
- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems in an efficient, proactive manner
- Demonstrated track record of accuracy and thoroughness
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
