This position will report to the Corporate Medical Director for the Health Services and Integrated Disability Management (IDM) department and will be responsible for leading the companywide integrated delivery of disability and absence management services, including Workers Compensation, Sickness & Accident, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and Family Medical Leave programs in a way that balances employee experience with our business plan to ensure maximum cost effectiveness. The IDM manager will ensure that the department is operating at a high level of efficiency and effectiveness utilizing internal and external benchmarks and continues improvement tools and will drive organizational adoption of IDM best practices across the company through collaboration with our HR Business Partners, Third-party administrators (TPA), Directors of Employee Relations, Operational Managers and the medical staff at all local plant medical departments. The successful candidate must be able to transition smoothly between strategic and tactical leadership.

ESSENTIAL FUCNTIONS & RESPONSINILITIES:
- Manages the day-to-day operations and staff of the Disability Management team and TPA in compliance with established policies and procedures. Responsible for overall operations management for all IDM locations/offices.
- Manages and oversee the processing of employees who are off on Disability Leaves. Manage claims analysis in accordance with the defined benefit plans and the various provisions of state regulatory agencies.
- Establishes and maintains a working liaison with employees and department managers facilitating transitional programs and a return-to-work environment.
- Collects, organizes, and analyzes data related to work injury restrictions and placements and provides this information on a periodic basis to management with recommendations for improvement.
- Provides expert policy guidance in matters related to the Family Medical leave Act (FMLA) and The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and advises both HR and operational managers of the employee's rights and responsibilities under these leaves and their correlation to Company policy. Establishes policy and procedures to assure compliance to best practices, claims management services standards, state regulations, and client service requirements.
- Participates in the development and maintenance of operating budget and capital spending plan.
- Oversee billing service issues and initiate payments for indemnity, medical, legal, vendor and other approved benefits within the computerized systems.
- Monitors and ensures achievement of performance goals and objectives.
- Establishes business plan with goals and objectives for the area and locations/offices.
- Conduct interviews, hires and establishes performance development plans; conducts performance discussions.
- Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
- Maintains active participation in leading industry IDM organizations. Implements in coordination with TPA state specific leave programs, and educates HR and Managers.
- Leads implementation of new vendors.
- Some travel may be required.
MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Business Administration, Legal Studies or Clinical.
- Five (5) or more years direct claims management and worker's compensation experience required.
- Minimum of five (5) years supervisory/management experience required.
- Knowledge of state regulations related to medical claims, including but not limited to: PA, NY, IL, IN, MI, AL, TX, OH, MN.
