Ecobat is seeking to hire a Process Engineer with a hydrometallurgical or chemical/mining engineering background with exposure/experience in hydrometallurgy and solvent extraction processes. This position is responsible for developing processes and techniques required for operation of the production of manufacturing facilities, development of products, or support of corporate initiatives. The Process Engineer position will be based at our Research and Development facility in Dallas, TX. Must be able to relocate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance Objectives
The solutions Process Engineer will assist to organize, manage, and plan complex lithium recycling projects for the organizations research, development and plant implementation efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in technical field, preferably with chemical, mineral/mining or mechanical engineering background. Experience in mineral processing and hydrometallurgical processes. Advanced degrees also considered.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hands on development and optimization of a pilot scale solvent extraction process for recovery of critical materials and metals.
- Ability to provide input into the design and operation of a production facility.
- Carry out independent development/research and act as an investigator and project leader.
- Perform statistical and data driven analysis.
- Assist in the designing, developing, and delivering a range of programs to transfer knowledge including practical skills, methods and techniques.
- Encourage the development of innovative approaches to the design and delivery of new processes, and ensure that process designs and delivery comply with the quality and standards and regulations of the department, group and industry.
- Assist in the development and implementation of product and/or research strategy.
- Assist with product/research activity in the subject including determining relevant research objectives and preparing research proposals.
- Seek practical application of research findings.
- Update knowledge and understanding in the field of specialism.
- Disseminate conceptual and complex ideas to internal audiences using appropriate media and methods to promote understanding.
- Develop internal and external networks to foster collaboration and share information and ideas, promoting both the subject and the group.
- Assist in promoting the work of the department in the subject area both nationally and internationally.
- Act as a leader, supervising the works of others, for example in development /research teams, projects, etc.
- Ensure that staff are suitably qualified to work within their own area.
- Foster inter-disciplinary team working.
- Develop and communicate a clear vision of the unit's strategic direction.
- Provide first line support for colleagues, referring them to sources if further help is required.
- Monitor the allocation of resources within own area of responsibility.
- Initiate new and original solutions to problems, and resolve problems affecting the delivery of technology in accordance with regulations.
- Balance the competing pressures of research, knowledge transfer, administrative demands, and deadlines.

- Travel of up to approximately 20%
- Ability to think strategically and offer suggestions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are essential.
- Computer skills including MS Office Suite are required.
