Office Requirements: This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is required to work in a Fortis Bank office location at least 4-5 days per week.
The Fortis Bank Treasury Management Banker is responsible for effectively partnering with existing and prospective commercial clients to offer depository and treasury management solutions in the Denver market. This role requires a deep understanding of treasury products and services and the ability to deliver innovative solutions that meet the unique needs of each client. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients to understand their business needs and treasury management goals.
- Act as the primary point of contact for treasury management products and services, including but not limited to cash management, payment processing, and fraud prevention services.
- Manage all elements of the treasury management sales cycle, including, but not limited to business development, prospect qualification, needs analysis, closing, and implementation of services.
- Conduct regular client reviews to assess each client's current products and services ro identify opportunities for additional products or enhancements.
- Actively patriciate in the development and execution of market business plans to cross-sell depository and treasury solutions to our existing client base.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Commercial Banking and Client Services, coordinating joint calling efforts to cross-sell treasury products and services to meet each client's unique needs.
- Prepare and deliver tailored proposals and presentations to clients, demonstrating the value of recommended solutions.
Industry Knowledge and Risk Management
- Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements affecting treasury management.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and identify opportunities to enhance the bank's treasury product offerings.
- Participate in networking events, industry conferences, and client forums to represent the bank and build professional relationships.
- Ensure all treasury management activities comply with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on new clients and periodically review existing clients to mitigate risk.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all treasury management activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in treasury management, commercial banking, or a related financial services role.
- Strong knowledge of treasury products, including cash management, payment systems, liquidity management, and risk mitigation tools.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships, with a focus on consultative sales.
- Embodies the Fortis Bank culture principles and competencies and consistently demonstrating a positive, ambitious, and solution-oriented attitude with clients and team members.
- Proficient and experienced in Microsoft Office suite products and technology, including but not limited to: Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong ability to adapt to systems and technology, including but not limited to: Salesforce, banking core systems, and common office collaboration products.
- Communicates effectively and professionally, both verbally and via e-mail and other chat tools.
- Excellent organizational skills, regularly demonstrating the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful professional relationships with senior management and team members.
