POSITION SUMMARY: As the HR Business Partner for our operations in Utah, you will support the Human Resources Department by managing the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, retention, and termination of our employees in Utah. You will work hand in hand with our operations team to understand and identify candidates who can be successful employees in our business and help to coach and train our employees. In addition, for our restaurants in the Utah market, you will oversee employee development, develop and update Company policies, investigate and prepare reports on employee incidents, develop and disseminate communications, conduct market surveys and other research, assist with various compliance audits, deliver periodic training and manage or assist with various special projects. You will also assist with preparing and reviewing payroll for our Utah restaurants. This position is based in Utah and will require travel to multiple restaurant locations. Must be bilingual in Spanish and English speaking and writing.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Internal and External Service HR:
Manage recruitment, hiring, onboarding, retention, and termination processes, including drafting job descriptions, reviewing candidates, conducting interviews, and making recommendations on hiring.
Oversee employee development, including development, delivery, and management of employee training and growth initiatives.
Develop and update company policies related to human resources, including working with outside resources to identify new applicable laws, rules and regulations and best practices
Conduct investigations of employee incidents, prepare summary reports and make recommendations on responsive actions
Prepare and deliver written and oral communications relaying key company information to employees in the field
Identify and recommend reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics. Based on metrics and analysis, make recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance.
Facilitate implementation of new training, development, recruiting, and other related initiatives.
Conduct or assist with conducting classification audits to ensure that jobs are properly classified as exempt or nonexempt.
Assist with preparation of various annual reports required for governmental authorities.
Researching, recommending and implementing best practices.
Assist HR leadership with staffing, recruiting, and departmental budgets.
May guide and/or assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes.
Meet with employees in the field to identify and review employee needs and issues.
Prepare and conduct training for field employees.
Assist with various legal and compliance matters.
Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll
Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements:
90% of the total time will be field travel in Utah.
10% of time supporting in CA as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Bachelor's Degree in applicable field
Three years of experience in Human Resources with at least one with direct supervision of hiring processes
Experience preparing and processing payroll a plus/
Strong ability to advance objectives by thinking independently and taking next steps without prompting

Regular travel within UT (including overnight when needed) 90% of the time.
