Overview

At Sonny's, we are passionate about developing our people to reach their potential. We are looking for an experienced Manager of Learning and Development to join our team and lead the charge in designing, developing, and delivering training programs that support our employees' career growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of adult learning principles and experience designing and delivering training programs in a corporate setting. They will be skilled in needs assessment, curriculum development, facilitation and creating eLearning modules that have had a track record of success in developing and implementing training programs that drive business results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an organizational learning strategy in alignment with business goals and strategy.
  • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality learning programs (including eLearning, virtual, and classroom-based solutions).
  • Conduct training needs analysis with managers to identify gaps and opportunities for employee development.
  • Maintain awareness of the L&D budget.
  • Select, Develop, and Manage an LMS system with curriculums and administrative reporting.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate instructional design models and methods based on project objectives.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning experiences using a variety of learning engagement tools.
  • Develop supporting materials such as participant guides, job aids, and assessments.
  • Deliver training programs (virtual, classroom, etc.), ensuring a positive and impactful learning experience, including new hire, professional and leadership development programs.
  • Develop and administer mandatory compliance training.
  • Manage post-training evaluations and feedback to continuously improve L&D offerings and show ROI on select courses.
  • Work with departments leaders to develop and growth top performers as defined by our nine-block program.
  • Stay up-to-date on latest industry trends and best practices in learning and development.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on learning and development systems and processes.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Master's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification in Instructional Design or Learning and Development
  • 5+ years in learning and development.
  • 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering successful training programs.
  • Experience developing eLearning content and managing LMS platforms.
  • Expertise in adult learning theory and instructional design principles.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding project management ability.
  • Experience with virtual training delivery methods.
  • Familiarity with talent management systems.
